In Egypt they used the Nile as ther MAIN water source! Although we may still use rivers a little as water source it is not our main source and definately we clean it!

The Nile River flows through 8 different countries!
The Nile is 4189 miles long!!! It can stretch across the U.S.!!!
The Nile Delta is 120 miles wide!
The Aswan Dam's construction started in the 1960's and ended in 1970.
Lake Nasser is the second largest man-made lake in the world!
For over 2,ooo years, Egypt and Sudan have not made an agreement on who has the rights to the river. They even say that they would go to war to gain control!
Dowstream, the flood is not as strong after the dam was built, so their crops are dead dry.
